8 small baking potatoes, washed, pierced, baked & cooled
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp minced or pureed garlic
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup real bacon pieces
1 Tbsp chopped fresh chives

Cut potatoes in half lengthwise. Scoop out pulp, leaving 1/8" thick shells. Place shells cut side up on ungreased baking sheet and brush with melted butter. Broil in oven 6" from heat until crisp. Sprinkle with salt and cheese. Broil 30 seconds or until cheese melts. Top with bacon and chives. Yield: 8 servings
